Skyline

I came across this cool technique in this blogpost by Kristen Dudish and loved the idea of randomly watercoloring on a piece of paper and then cutting that up to create embellished images.  I was very short on time this weekend so I did a much simpler version for my ICAD.  I watercolored stripes of
pink and teal and then went over half of each stripe with a darker tone of the same color.  I cut out the stripes and glued them to an index card that I watercolored in deepening shades of warm colors to simulate a sunset.  With a Pitt artist pen I drew lines to create high rise buildings (with antennas!). These must be Miami Beach highrises based on the color scheme.

It was a fun technique which I plan to revisit with a more complex subject matter.
